Her books have sold over 1 million copies worldwide, reached #1 on Amazon multiple times, and been translated into over 40 languages. The Shadow Work Journal became a global phenomenon, outselling major celebrity releases and helping to bring the concept of shadow work into mainstream conversation.
Keila has been featured in Good Morning America, The Today Show, The New York Times, CBS News, The Times (UK), The Atlantic, and other major media outlets for her cultural impact in the personal development space. Her work has been recognized for making depth psychology and shadow work accessible to a new generation. She is the founder of Zenfulnote, an inner-work app designed to help people explore their emotional landscape through journaling, guided exercises, and therapeutic tools.
Keila Shaheen is a Brazilian–Puerto Rican American scholar, poet, international bestselling author, and musician. Currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute, Keila integrates academic study with creative practice, blending psychology, music, art, and soul work. She is also a musician in the electronic band SUNBRELLA, producing immersive live DJ sets that explore themes of shadow and light.
Born in Houston, Texas, Keila lives in Texas with her husband, Abraham Shaheen. She travels to speak, perform live shows, create, and collaborate on projects centered around consciousness, creativity, and emotional healing.
